My name is Karrol Kay Houser.  I was born and raised in the “Beautiful and Bodacious” state of Montana before being transported to the “Green Lands” of Wisconsin in 1985, where I first began to experiment with faux.  Like many of you, my first projects were terrible “sponge techniques” and I was thankful for border wallpaper to conceal those unsightly ceiling lines!  In January, 1999, I decided to change career paths to do something I loved on a professional level. . . “playing with paint and decorating“!  I chose to be trained by Donna Mabry, Better Homes and Gardens’ Featured Faux Artist, from the Atlanta, GA area.  That was the beginning of Creative Options. 

I have since trained other professional faux finishers and have now created more than 25 faux techniques that are fun and beautiful.  My work appears in many homes, restaurants, medical buildings and business offices throughout the country, but most notably and importantly, in Texas.  I would love to have the opportunity to create something special . . .  just for you. 

Often times the most difficult task is finding a starting place ~ I can help you with the beginning as your color consultant, as well as where to place your furniture, accessories, and existing treasures.
